1) Turbine Blades & Buckets

New Texpa Machinery offers complete in-house manufacturing cycles for all turbine blades and buckets; following structured, frozen, and controlled processes.
Lean manufacturing principles are followed throughout the overall production cycle to ensure that all operations are carried out in a clean, organized, and productive environment.
Conventional grinding, as well as 5-axis grinding machines and wire electrical discharge machining (EDM), allow us to deliver parts on-time and in-line with the highest level of customer expectations.
All parts are 100 % checked on a dedicated Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Non-destructive examinations like fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and Eddy-Current tests (ECT) are part of standard production processes. Optical scanning (ATOS) is also employed to verify parts’ dimensional features. Strict production monitoring, process analysis, and continuous improvement are driving principles of our philosophy.
Dedicated assembly checks prior to coating operations are always carried out on dedicated fixtures to:
Verify seal plates & locking hardware installation
Verify shrouded bucket tip engagements

New Texpa Machinery offers a variety of coating solutions including:

  • Metallic overlay
  • Thermal barrier
  • Protective coatings on z-notch contact surfaces of shrouded buckets
  • Protective strips on roots
  • Shot peening
  • Internal coatings for cooling holes

All sets of blades and buckets are sequenced to be ready for installation. Suitable packaging procedures and the choice of customized and compartmentalized boxes ensure the delivery of components in an ideal condition.
The serialization of the parts, provided with quick traceability, allow us to record parts’ life history and customize maintenance plans as a function of the equivalent operating hours. This eliminates the risk of necessary component replacement prior to any possible failures.

New Texpa Machinery provides independent repairs, overhauls and inspections of gas turbine and power turbine blades and vanes used in industrial, marine, power generation, oil and gas and aero derivative applications.
We work closely with the OEM and our customer to develop new repairs to improve product integrity. Our customer base includes OEMs, engine shops and operators of various types of gas turbine equipment. Our component repair business has been in operation for over 12 years and has a staff with hundreds of years of combined experience.
